This guarantee is valid with proof of purchase only. The guarantee is limited to repair or replacement of the unit only and does not cover consequential loss or damage to animate or inanimate objects. This guarantee is valid provided the aquarium is placed on a surface that is flat and levelled. This guarantee excludes aquarium breakage due to misuse, chips, stress cracks caused by improper support or another breakage. This guarantee is valid only under normal operating conditions for which the unit is intended. It excludes any damage caused by unreasonable use, negligence, improper installation, tampering, abuse or commercial use. Failure of less than 5% of the total number of LEDs shall not be considered a defect under the terms of this warranty. The warranty does not cover the impeller, or any item which has not been adequately or correctly maintained. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
Ensure that your water level is within the ideal range indicated in your instruction manual, which came with the product packaging or can be viewed on this website by visiting your aquarium product page. Additionally, ensure that the pump has been well cleaned.
How do I remove algae in my aquarium that may be accumulating on the inside glass surface?
Whether it is visible or not, algae removal needs to be a regular weekly maintenance task. This is performed simply by going over the inner glass surface with a pad or an aquarium magnet, such as the Fluval Razor+ 2-in-1 Algae Magnet available in small or medium.
When using a timer for the LED, are the last settings saved after shutting the unit off?
Yes. For example, if the White and Blue LEDs are on and the power supply is interrupted or shut off, the same White and Blue would come back on when the power is restored.
What fish would you recommend if I don’t want to add a heater?
Small species of Barbs, minnows, and killifish make ideal choices in this case.
Some of my small fish have passed through the inlet grill into the back filtration compartment. What can I do to prevent this in the future?
Fluval offers filter intake screens that reduce the inlet size without affecting performance.
What live plant species do you recommend for this aquarium?
The LED lighting supplied with this tank is suited for plants requiring low to medium light levels. This includes, amongst others, Anubias nana, Cryptocoryne species, and java fern.
Do you have the PAR specs available for the lighting system of this aquarium?
Due to the size of this aquarium and the use of energy-efficient LEDs, these specifications are not relevant.
Is it possible to upgrade the lighting in my Flex aquarium to an Aquasky unit?
Aquasky LEDs cannot be incorporated into the lids of both Flex 9 and Flex 15 aquariums.
The remote for my Flex aquarium does not seem to be working. What should I do?
When using the Flex remote, we recommend first reducing the intensity of the white LEDs, as this will allow you to see the RGB LEDs more clearly and perceive the changes made. If the remote is not working at all, we recommend you try changing its battery.
Does the dimensional information of this aquarium include the integrated filtration compartments?
Yes, the dimensions do include the integrated filter.
