Introducing the HYDRA 64HD, HYDRA 32HD and PRIME 16HD, with even more LED's better colour mixing, wider spread, more colour, more compact, more water-resistant, and more refined, all without sacrificing anything that made the 52HD, 26HD and PRIME HD great.

With over 20% more LEDs, the Aquaillumination flagship lights just got more power to grow coral, making them eye-blindingly bright. Vibrance is improved with deeper blues and brighter whites, your corals will pop like never before.AI has always listened to the feedback from hobbyists, retailers and aquaculture facilities. As time goes on, they continue to shape their lighting products to meet and exceed the expectations of the community, for better performance, greater reliability and improved ease of use, understanding that to be your first choice for aquarium lighting they must always be delivering the best value in performance, features and support.

They have been perfecting this design for years and every detail has been meticulously attended to and we think you'll love the end result.

Improved FeaturesRedesigning the plastics in the Prime and Hydra line-up has resulted in two major benefits: greater efficiency and better aesthetics. Efficiency improvements reduce the demands for active cooling resulting in longer component life, and reducing the profile depth has enhanced the presence of the light over the aquarium.

Water-resistance is a major benefit in aquarium lighting, and while the new Prime and Hydras are not waterproof, design improvements should make them more resilient to accidental splashing and environmental moisture.

Output in terms of PAR, colour mixing and spread are all improved with the new fixtures.

The incorporation of more LEDs results in a more complete full-spectrum and TIR lenses which shape the light to its most efficient and effective result in both more colour POP as well as a slightly wider output area. LED placement and lens geometry blend the light from the clusters so that colour separation is further reduced.

A dedicated moonlight LED and the channel has been added in the new Prime 16HD, Prime Freshwater, Hydra 32HD and Hydra 64HD fixtures. This allows for independent moonlighting programmes that will deliver the desired aesthetic without needing to be a part of your primary schedule or risking overexposure for your livestock.

Introducing Hyperdrive™ TechnologyWhen Hyperdrive™ HD Technology was introduced with the previous generation of AI lights it revolutionised the way that the LED colours could be controlled, bringing more power and colour where you want it, for your corals and fishes, plus the freedom to use your smartphone or computer as a controller.

This unique innovation in aquarium lighting allows you to direct power from the LED colours you have turned down to use with the colours you want to turn up, providing you with access to the maximum power output of your light, regardless of your choice of the spectrum and creating the most vivid colours in your tank you have ever seen.

By coupling HD technology with custom almost optically perfect, 80 degree, colour blending lenses we can direct all of the light into the aquarium, exactly where it is needed, providing optimum PAR with minimal light loss or annoying glare for the observer.

Perfect ColourContinued development has seen AI achieve the perfect colour spectrum for the reef aquarium straight from the box, with a strong emphasis on the crisp blue white hue that serious hobbyists in Europe demand.

From this perfect starting point, the lights can be controlled to an almost infinite range of colours that can be varied continuously throughout the day.

FAQs
Why does the light on the D-D ATO sensor change?

The sensor on the DDATO has different light colours and patterns to warn of faults or show its status.

Flashing blue and red LED. The unit has been powered on and it is going through its startup process.

Flashing blue LED. A low water level has been detected and the top up unit is operating the pump to refill with fresh water.

Short intermitting blinking blue LED. The waterlevel is above the failsafe sensor and the unit has been temporarily deactivated. When the water level returns to below the emergncy sensor the unit will return to normal operation. The failsafe sensor can be activated after each top up on nano aquariums, this is normal and no action needs to be taken.

Solid Blue LED. The top up unit is in normal standby mode.

Flashing red LED. Alarm mode has been activated. The unit has detected an issue and or the freshwater reservoir is empty.

Why is my D+D ATO sensor light red

A red light on the sensor can indicate one of these things.

The sensor's inbuilt emergency shut-off timer has been activated

When the unit performs its first top-up after being powered on it will store the time taken in its memory. If for any reason the top-up unit is activated for longer than 6 times this the sensor will assume there is a problem or that the freshwater reservoir is empty, shut down and show the red warning light.

Corrective action to set the ATO back into normal operation mode and clear the alarm status, power the unit down from the mains plug socket for a few seconds and then power it back up. The sensor should flash red/blue a few times as it reinitialises and then returns to normal operation mode with a solid blue status light.

The sensor is detecting a fault with the ATO pump.

If the pump cannot run the sensor may go into alarm mode and turn off power to the pump. If this is the situation you will notice that when the top-up activates the pump will not turn on and the status light will immediately show red and not flash blue until time out occurs.

Corrective action:_Disconnect the unit from mains power, check that the connector where the power lead and pump plug-in has not become wet and that the impellor in the pump is clean and free to move.

The freshwater reservoir is empty or the sensor is impaired

No water in the reservoir or microbubbles in the water are causing issues with the sensor detecting the water level. Check that the sensor is not in an area where it is subject to small bubbles, eg near the outlet from a skimmer.

Corrective action: If this has occurred check that the sensor is clean, the impellor in the pump is clean and free to move, the freshwater reservoir is not empty, and there is nothing that could be causing the sump water level to fall unexpectedly.
