Can I use this aquarium for freshwater?

You can, but please note that the light included with the aquarium is optimized for saltwater use.

What should I do if my pump output is weak?

Ensure that your water level is within the ideal range indicated in your instruction manual, which came with the product packaging or can be viewed on this website by visiting your aquarium product page.

How do I remove algae in my aquarium that may be accumulating on the inside glass surface?

Whether it is seen or not, algae removal needs to be a regular weekly maintenance task. This is performed simply by going over the inner glass surface with a pad or an aquarium magnet, such as the Fluval Razor+ 2-in-1 Algae Magnet (#11083 & #11084).

What protein skimmer options fit the Evo tank?

The Evo13.5 gallon aquarium has been designed to house the Fluval PS2 Mini Skimmer. While the smaller Evo5 gallon aquarium does not have a built-in skimmer option, air pump-driven mini skimmers can be incorporated.

What should I do if my pump output is weak?

Can I add living coral to my tank after I’ve added cured rock?

Yes, but only if you have measured all key parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, calcium, and alkalinity) and the results are favourable. We recommend including a few snails and blue leg hermit crabs to help deal with any potential algae growth.

Do LPS corals require strong water movement?

Some LPS do. We suggest consulting a reputable marine speciality retailer to confirm the ideal conditions your coral species require. You can also add a Fluval Sea CP circulation pump if you need additional water movement in your tank.

When using a timer for the LED, are the last settings saved after shutting the unit off?

Yes. For example, if the white and blue LEDs are on and the power supply is interrupted or shut off, the same white and blue LEDs would come back on when the power is restored.

For optimal coral growth, should I add a circulation pump to my Evo aquarium?

We suggest consulting a reputable marine speciality retailer to identify the ideal conditions your coral species require. You can add a Fluval Sea CP circulation pump if you need additional water movement in your tank.

Does the dimensional information of this aquarium include the integrated filtration compartments?

Yes, the dimensions do include the integrated filter.

2 Year Limited Warranty

Your Fluval Sea EVO Aquarium and included electrical components are guaranteed for defects in material or workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase. This guarantee is valid with proof of purchase only. The guarantee is limited to repair or replacement of the unit only and does not cover consequential loss or damage to animate or inanimate objects. This guarantee is valid provided the aquarium is placed on a surface that is flat and levelled. This guarantee excludes aquarium breakage due to misuse, chips, stress cracks caused by improper support or another breakage. This guarantee is valid only under normal operating conditions for which the unit is intended. It excludes any damage caused by unreasonable use, negligence, improper installation, tampering, abuse or commercial use. Failure of less than 5% of the total number of LEDs shall not be considered a defect under the terms of this warranty. The warranty does not cover the impeller or any item which has not been adequately or correctly maintained. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
