FAQs
Do I need to add a background?

Aquarium backgrounds are decorative panels or murals that are placed on the back wall of a fish tank to create a visual backdrop for the tank. They are not a necessary component of a fish tank, but they can add visual interest and create a more natural or realistic environment for the fish.

Aquarium backgrounds are typically made from a durable, waterproof material, such as plastic or vinyl, and are available in a wide range of styles and designs. Some options include realistic scenes of underwater environments, such as coral reefs or freshwater streams, while others are more abstract or decorative.

There are a few potential benefits to using an aquarium background in a fish tank. For one, it can help to create a more visually appealing display for the tank, which can be especially helpful if the tank is located in a visible location in the home. It can also help to create a more natural-looking environment for the fish, which may help to reduce stress and improve their overall well-being.

On the other hand, there are also a few potential drawbacks to using an aquarium background. For one, it can be more difficult to clean the back wall of the tank if it is covered by a background. It can also be more challenging to access and maintain equipment, such as filters or heaters, that are located behind the background.

Ultimately, whether or not to use an aquarium background is a personal decision that depends on your individual preferences and the needs of your tank. It's important to consider the pros and cons and decide whether an aquarium background is right for your tank.
